DASH7 Announces Silicon Certification Program

Four leading silicon vendors – Analog Devices, Melexis, Semtech, and Texas Instruments Incorporated – continue their intention to complete DASH7 AuthorizedTM Silicon certification in 2011.  The program, which is based on the DASH7 Alliance Mode specification approved in mid-2010, requires silicon vendors to complete an array of conformance tests defined by the DASH7 Alliance’s Test and Certification Working Group.

The program is open to component vendors making microcontrollers, radios, or combined system-in-package (SiP) or system-on-a-chip (SoC) solutions suitable for use in DASH7 devices.  Device integrators wishing to use the DASH7 Certified logo on completed DASH7 devices will still be required to undergo certification testing but will receive a substantial discount for using DASH7 Authorized Silicon.
