Goals

The foundation of DASH7 Certification program is based on ISO 18000-7 standards, ISO 18047-7 test methods and DASH7 extensions.

The purpose of the DASH7 Certification Program is to ensure interoperability of DASH7 tags, readers and data that is exchanged among them.

DASH7 Certification Program goals are:

• Develop standardized conformance and interoperability test methods
• Validate 3^rd party test tools that implement  test methods
• Establish a network of accredited test centers conducting testing and certification
• Certify DASH7 tags and readers
• Publish certified products on DASH7 website
• Establish a user’s  trust in the “DASH7 Certified ™” mark

The DASH7 certification testing consists of:

Conformance Testing

• Testing and certification of tags and readers based is on ISO 18047-7 test methods and DASH7 extensions with over 45 test cases defined.

Interoperability Testing

• Testing and certification based on US DoD test cases and DASH7 developed test methods with almost 70 test cases defined.

In order to obtain certification, a DASH7 device must pass ALL mandatory tests defined in the Conformance and interoperability test methods.

Both  test methods are available to members of the DASH7 Alliance.

Benefits

There are numerous benefits for getting certified.

• For End-Users, this program will enable them to identify products that comply to ISO and DASH7 standards and interoperate with each other.
  • DASH7 website is the only authoritative source of information on interoperable products.

• For Vendors,
  • This program defines a process that will lead to DASH7 certification. Participating vendors will have access to test methods, and will be offered support to get ready for certification.
  • This program offers a direct link to the End-Users who are looking for specific products and services to help them implement DASH7 technology.

The launch of the DASH7 Certification Program marks an important milestone in the adoption and implementation of global, cross industry standards for DASH7 technology. This program has and will continue to be developed by DASH7 members.
