Welcome to the Second Edition of DASH7 Connect.
The success of our two recent webinars demonstrated an industry need for more information on topics that relate specifically to DASH7 and the technology community. In 2010 we plan to feature a regular series of webinars on relevant topics throughout the year. Be sure to check our website and watch for e-bulletins on upcoming webinar dates. If you haven’t already registered for the December 2nd “DASH7 – A Technical Overview” Webinar you may wish to sign up now.
The DASH7 Annual General Meeting February 2nd and 3rd date is quickly approaching. Read on for agenda details and sign up information. We encourage industry to get involved and attend this important event as we continue to address the needs of industry.
For those of you who are receiving a DASH7 Connect for the first time, the objective of this communication is to present and discuss issues that impact the technology community. Upcoming issues will include an array of content from member companies as well as more in-depth coverage of DASH7 innovations, events, and news. We invite you to join in the conversation.

Join us for the DASH7 Annual General Meeting February 2nd and 3rd in San Juan, Puerto Rico at the luxurious and award-winning El San Juan Hotel &Casino (www.elsanjuanhotel.com). Located in the fashionable Isla Verde district, the El San Juan Hotel is nestled alongside the most beautiful beach on the island while surrounded by 15 acres of lush, tropical landscaped grounds. The agenda has been set with an early start and end time each day so participants have an opportunity to enjoy the white sand beach, try their hand in the casino or take in some poolside sun in the afternoon.
Registration for this event is free for DASH7 members, and $300.00 for advisors. Breakfast and lunches are included during the meetings . Hotel rates begin at $160.00 excluding taxes, fees and other applicable charges.

Agenda Overview
Day 1 The day begins at 7:30 with coffee and a continental breakfast. Participants will then have an opportunity to gain some insight into the achievements of the past year through the . Later on two special Guest Speakers will provide their insight into the DASH7 Alliance; one from a government point of view and one from the commercial point of view. Each Working Group Committee Lead will summarize the year’s accomplishments, current activities, and 2010 action items.
Day 2 is a working day with break-out sessions for the various working groups as well plenty of networking time throughout the two days and during lunches and dinners.

The first two DASH7 Webinars were a huge success. With plans to offer a variety of topics throughout the year, be sure to watch our monthly newsletter for more information. Pencil Wednesday Dec 16th in for the OpenTag Webinar; while other topics such as Container Security and Sensing, Encryption, Multi-Hop, and New Ideas for DASH7 use in Building Automation and Military Supply Chains will be covered in the coming weeks. The DASH7 Alliance was formed to advance the use of DASH7 wireless data technology by developing extensions to the ISO 18000-7 standard, ensuring interoperability among devices, and educating the market about DASH7 technology. Formed in 2009, the Alliance now has more than 30 members.
